I had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Granvia. I would have stayed longer but I waited to long to try to extend my stay and they were booked up, so I had to move. The hotel is impeccably clean. It's about two blocks from the Shinsiabashi shopping mall. A little tip--the Daimaru department store has a money exchange counter in the basement
A Traveler from Hong Kong
The Granvia hotel chain is owned and operated by Japan Rail so their hotels are always located on top or next to the main railway station in several large cities in Japan. We stayed in the Osaka, Hiroshima and Kyoto hotels. As a first time travellers to Japan we found the convenience of arriving in a city and having the hotel right where we had arrived by bullet train etc fantastic as we didn't have to drag a suitcase around looking for a hotel in a place that we had never been to before.
